Description
A Lockheed XF-90 prototype Penetration Fighter. During the 1950s, the XF-90 competed against the NAA YF-93A and McDonnell XF-88 for the USAF Penetration Fighter contract. The competition was subsequently canceled, but produced several interesting designs for the time. From the book, "U.S. Combat Aircraft Fly-Off Competitions".
