What Might Have Been: An inflight view of a conceptual full-scale single seat fighter based on the Rockwell International/NASA HiMAT (Highly Maneuverable Aircraft Technology) demonstrator configuration. The actual unmanned sub-scale HiMAT RPRV (Remotely Piloted Research Vehicle) was dropped from a B-52 mothership at 45,000 feet and made its first flight on July 27, 1979.
I'm based in Southern California and hope you enjoy this array of aviation and spacecraft images.
