What If: USAF Thunderbirds F-35A Lightning II and the current F-16C Viper: In the foreground, a conceptual USAF/Lockheed Martin Thunderbirds F-35A Lightning II is a look at a possible future Thunderbirds aircraft. The current Thunderbirds F-16C is at the top of photo. Although the F-16C will continue to serve for many years, it’s interesting to see the aircraft together. The F-35A would be the eighth aircraft type to be operated by the Thunderbirds.
